Pounce is a two-player strategy board game. It needs no account with Mr. Jackdaw Company LLC and collects no personal data. Pounce makes no network requests of its own; its one network feature is optional online play through Apple Game Center.

Data We Collect

None. Pounce does not connect to any server run by Mr. Jackdaw Company LLC, and the company receives no information about you or your device from Pounce.

Data Stored on Your Device

Pounce keeps the following on your device so you can pick up where you left off. None of it leaves your device.

The game in progress for each mode.
Your settings for each mode.
Your statistics: wins, losses, streaks, and fastest win.
Whether you have already seen onboarding.
Your haptics preference.

Deleting Pounce removes all of it. You can also clear your statistics at any time with Reset statistics in Statistics.

Online Play and Game Center

Online play is optional and uses Apple Game Center turn-based matches. Apple handles your Game Center identity, matchmaking, and the data for each match and turn, under Apple’s Privacy Policy. Your opponent sees your Game Center name. Mr. Jackdaw Company LLC does not receive any of this data.

Playing against the AI and pass-and-play work offline and do not use Game Center.

Analytics and Advertising

Pounce contains no analytics, no usage tracking, and no advertising.

This describes the Pounce app. The website that hosts this policy uses Google Analytics for measurement. See the website privacy policy.

Third-Party Services

Pounce integrates no third-party SDKs. Its only outside service is Apple Game Center, described above.

Children

Pounce collects no information from anyone, including children under the age of 13. Apple manages Game Center accounts, including those of children, under Apple’s Privacy Policy.
